I drink 3-4 energy drinks a day I buy them at walmart I just bought 10 4
packs and it cost $60.00 thats expensive and I'll trying to cut back
that equals about $60.00 every two weeks but when I drank I would spend
$60.00 in a day so I will stick to the energy drinks no DUI'S either.
lol

Why do you need a frdge in your garage in the winter anyhow just set
the stuff on the floor and it will get cold shooot here it has been
known to freeze if I leave the garage open too long.

AA's go to those meetings cause they truly believe in their hearts that
they have a serious problem and need beyond all else to fix it somehow.
There is strength in numbers and AA as an organization of like minded
individuals ought to,try to provide the help and support to all who seek
it. You know thats gotta be a God send to some hopeless S.O.B.
somewhere.
But the problem is not the folks IN A.A. it's all those bastards still
out there driving drunk and killing people that gives the rest of us
such a bad name.
Never ONCE have I heard of a fatal DUI accident being caused by a pot
smoker. Not even one. Seems to me the law targets the wrong group of
people. Pot has never caused a man to beat his wife nor has it ever
caused a man to spend his entire paycheck in one night at a bar and come
home broke again to his wife and kids has it? I've never heard of a
brawl being caused by a pot smoker and I've never heard of cirrhosis or
hepatitis being the end result of longterm pot use. Pot doesn't seem to
transform people into Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde mood changes like alcohol does
either.
So just applaud the people in A.A. for recognizing the REAL menace on
our society when even the Federal government can't seem to grasp it.

It is good to see some of the people here don't take Alcoholism as a
Joke. It is no Joke. The people that think it is have probably never
experienced it in their past. God willing they won't ever have too.
There are some in this world that have and some that still will in the
future. It effects even the non drinkers in this world as well.

I am fairly new to AA myself- I didnt drink alot but it was what I did
when I drank and the reasons I drank. This Tues I will get my 30 day
chip and I am proud of all I have learned in the last month. I have
found that I am not the only one with some of the feelings, compulsions
I have. It has helped me to take a hard look at me and the people in my
life.
I dont see anything wrong with posting if you wish, Its a personal
decision.
I, for one, have found strength, tools to begin dealing with who I am
(and life) instead of "numbing out".
Its a raw emotional journey of unlocking years of crap I didnt want to
deal with. Now I am finding the strength to be honest ...beginning with
myself.
I feel freedom for the first time in a long time.

congratulations to everyone who has achieved any time of sobriety. you
all have something meaningful to look forward to and enjoy for the rest
of your lives.
i've said it before and i'll say it again. the steps in the AA program
are good for anyone, not just alcoholics and addicts. they provide a
person with a good strong foundation to build a emotionally, mentally
and physically healthy life on. good luck to everyone that has overcome
and those who will overcome, take care.

Hummm.

Is there a difference from obstaining and controling?

Seems to methat one might want to control their intake of Alcohol rater
then obstaining since Alchohol is a driving force in society. Much like
sex.

PPl want to block out the need for sex. Much like Alcohol(witch is
viewed as evil too) is soo tempting that if you dispell the temptation.
Then you ride ofthe demon.
So the use of Alcohol is not a problem.

Only in your mind.

But of course ppl will scoff at my suggestion.

That's ok .

That's why I posted it.

I'm not here to win a popuarity conest or to try to get layed as I here
some are.

My only purpost is to make you think.
If you can't do that. Then God or Goddess help you.
