well how nice for you...in the meantime that girl gets to live her life in hell...

Ahhh..I do so love the melodramatic part that always comes up in this type of discussion. *sigh*

Now - before any one starts up the chargriller for a retort - What the father did was wrong. Completely and utterly, and I think there should be at VERY LEAST (notice I said "least" here ?) be a 20 year minimum sentence served no ifs, ands, or paroles.

And yes, I certainly have sympathy for the child - they didn't ask for this type of crap, and certainly don't deserve it from "mature" (cough*bull*****cough) parents.

However - all that being said - what do you want to do? The deed, however wrongful it is, is done. What? Kill the both parents in this case? Revive them, and kill them off again, rinse lather repeat? I am sure that would do wonders for the child's mental state.

Or would you prefer to 'spare the child a life in hell" by killing her off to? Chalk it up to a mercy killing?

Look - the girl in this case will either learn to adapt and adjust, with hopefully help from some adults better suited to parenthood, or she will be mentally trashed at this point. If you care so much you need to get melodramatic about it - fine - I can provide you the contact information to any number of volunteer groups that are seeking counselors.

Sym - in response to you directly - let's assume for the sake of argument there is a God, he made the universe and all things, and he decided to forgive the sins of the parents, for whatever reason he would decide such. YOU are going to argue with the choice of a being who can create (or destroy) trivial things like galaxies? The words "misguided" and "Foolish" come to mind....

PKH - hey...she owns up to both the rotten past, and the fact she has a problems from it *without* being melodramatic, nor acting like she deserves some friggin' abuse-merit badge or something. **GOOD ON HER!!**
Hopefully she gets someone like PKH for a counselor or such.

I think I will just stop watching these shows they are to depressing and break my heart

there is nothing we can do to erase the pain from this person...however, it trivializes what she's went through to NOT watch, to pretend the world is yippee-skippy...

if we USE her pain to educate others...to help prevent it from happening AGAIN...then her pain may have served a higher purpose.

WE as a society of people LIVING TOGETHER AS A WHOLE, should KEEP EACH OTHER in check at all times to HELP prevent THIS or ANT child ISSUES from HAPPENING.
If YOU SEE ABUSE, DO SOMETHING!! ACT, even if its just a phone call to police or Children family services.
At LEAST YOU done something to MAYBE stop a child from being HURT!

laugh laugh
some god...can create galaxies but cant protect an innocent child from being raped by her parents. And then is helpless to keep the perpetrators out of his kingdom because all they have to say is "sorry"..

you can keep him..doesnt deserve my adoration...your right, the words foolish and misguided do come to mind, but Im thinking they apply more to you than me.

This story was just released in my hometown area....this one is the epitome of repulsive and I hope that this man gets the death penalty for his despicable behavior.

"Murder charges have been filed against the uncle of the Worthington, Minnesota toddler who died last week of suspicious causes.

Thirty-four-year-old Josue Fraga is charged with three counts, including second-degree murder and criminal sexual conduct.

Police say Fraga violently attacked his two year old niece, Samantha Fraga, at her house last Thursday.

Autopsy reports indicate the girl died of blows to the head and body.

"Samantha F. died as a result of traumatic head injuries, multiple contusions of the extremeties, contusions to the trunk of the body, traumatic injuries to the external sexual organs and rectum, paratinities and rupture of the stomach," Worthington Police Chief Michael Cumiskey said.

Fraga is being held in the Nobles County Jail. If convicted on all three counts, he could get 110 years in prison."

We have all heard the stories, and might know someone this has happened to.I just watched a show A Parent's Betrayal.I am a victim of abuse but mine happened in my 20's and 30 yrs later I still have some issues, and it was not a family member. The story is a 7yr old girl,it's her father's birthday and his wife says what do you want for your b-day..his reply to have sex with your daughter she loved him so much so allows it and eventually she participated long story short they raid the house for drugs and find the pornography pictures. He gets 44 yrs and she get's 33 but the daughter get's a life sentence. The next story same thing but the daughter gets pregnant with her father's child,he get's 16 yrs. and serves 5.How do we come up with these sentences? My thoughts they to should get life. Our children are the future let's pray for healing and always listen.

The prison system is full of drug dealers and users, which is a war that has been going on since the 60's...there's your answer of why other offenses get such a light punishment.

As far as the topic goes, that is screwed up and terrible to commit on a child...amazing and sometimes shocking what love does to people.
