McCain is not a war hero. He has shown little compassion for the victims of war.

And his father should have received a court martial for the U.S.S. Liberty incident.

He was a P.O.W. in Vietnam, and in many people's minds, that makes him a war hero.

As for the U.S.S. Liberty incident, I have no opinion. The facts will, in time, come out if there was any dereliction of duty on McCain Sr.'s part.

mccains father follows orders just like any other service person

he could not rewrite the transcript of the investigation by himself

He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Gulf War, where he was awarded a Bronze Star.
war hero...yes.


his horrible crime doesn't chane the fact that he served in the Gulf war.

I served with Tim McVeigh. He was one of those soldiers that found it hard to adapt back to civilian life.
After spending years of being "brainwashed" to fight against oppressive gov's. The first thing you notice upon returning to civilian life is that your gov has exactly the same attributes you were taught to fight against.
For some this transition is never fully made and they find it hard to adapt back to civilian. I fear this is exactly what happened to Tim, and I feel you will see it many times over when this war is over.

A regular Army/Marine Infantry soldier is a professional soldier. He is not a cook, a comm tech, truck driver, National Guard, or Army Reserve troop. It is a full-time job!
They are trained extensively in Weapons (theirs and the enemies) they are trained extensively in First-aid, to keep their fellow soldier alive long enough to be medevaced (often from traumatic wounds).
They are taught to act as one, 40 different individuals doesnt work well. (Brainwashed)
They are trained in tactics and strategies designed for one purpose. "To kill the enemy in a proficient manner!"

Mothers, They are not your little boys any longer!!

Then when the gov is done with them they are dumped on the Street, (maybe yours) and left to fend for themselves! Many do not have the home support to help them adapt, and in many other cases that support will never understand what they know or saw, and are unable to help them adapt!
