I would get involved. As soon as he is forcefully making her sit back down, it is no longer a verbal argument. Anybody has the right to leave at any given time during an argument. Him grabbing her, in any which way, to make her do something she doesn't want to do, in this case sit down, is a disturbing portrayal of a violent streak, that usually progesses.

WITNESSED A GUY PUNCHING A WOMAN, STOPPED MY TRUCK, CONFRONTED THE AZZHOLE, EVEN CAME TO BLOWS WITH HIM, AND I'LL BE DAMNED IF THE WOMAN DIDN'T JUMP ON MY BACK AND BEGAN PULLING MY HAIR. MY RESPONSE TO THAT WAS, IMERELY FLIPPED HER OVER MY SHOULDER, AND TOLD THEM BOTH THAT THEY DESERVED EACH OTHER. WOULD I DO IT AGAIN? PROBABLY SO. BECAUSE NO MAN HAS THE RIGHT TO HIT A FEMALE, FOR ANY REASON
