As far as the "ego" being the "creator" that is not really accurate.

Ego is a tool that allows the individual to perceive Itself as separate.

Ego is the personality.

The personality is not the true self.

The true self is innate.

It dwells within. It influences the personality when it can, if the personality choses to listen and learn from its experiences on the earth plane. Its experiences are brought to him or her under the direction of the higher self when necessary, but the ego or personality has the use of self direction or power of will if they choose to use it.

You are allowed to make your own life decisions as long as you are on the path that you (as higher self) designed for you before you were born.

Thus... my insistance on claiming that the law of attraction which is proclaimed to be of 'God' necessitates a notion of separate, and is nothing more than just one more egotistical creation, among many.

'God' is not born of a coping mechanism, unless of course you are an atheist...wink

I never claimed that the law of attraction was of "God" but then everything is of "God" so I guess it is too.

A law is just a law of how things work, like the law of gravity.

Perhaps different realities have different laws I don't know.

But the law of attraction is the law that governs the actions of manifestation and creativity from the thought to the physical manifestation of a thing or experience. ~~ in THIS REALITY ~~

As for it being separate or "necessitates a notion of separate"
I don't see it doing that.

The ego is not the creator. The person or the ego is the thinking center. The thinking center thinks. Thought manifests the thing it pictures or imagines. The true self uses the ego to live a life separate from the whole and guides that person/ego when it can get through to it.

The true self is always there to aid the ego, but the ego is allowed to grow and make decisions as it learns the lessons it was meant to learn.

Because the ego/personality is allowed to make decisions (right or wrong) ~that is why the world is in such chaos and why the world is full of so many different cultures, problems, experiences. Its like fantasy island.

You can get any experience you want here. You die, and you are ready to come back and try again... doing something entirely different.

Hmmmm.... I have kids...

Clearly, no game...

You don’t have any kids Michael

Only God has kids

You’re just a baby sitter

"Abracadabra" you have got to be kidding with that statement ..Baby sitters get paid for watchings those little human monsters and after a while you can get up and leave after the guardians get home ... having kids and raising kids should no way be viewed as being a game and that's exactly why I choose not to have any of those Children of the Corn

think of it more like a puppet show with participants more willing to be the puppet instead of the puppet master

It is not about a game JB...

It is about life...

Life is a game that we play with ourselves. Yes, it is a game IMHO. Too many take it too seriously.

There are inherent contradictions between different peoples thoughts, desires, goals, and/or realities which are not accounted for within that belief system...

What happens when two are attempting to manifest things which cannot happen simultaneously...

I do take my life very seriously......Were not here long enough not to take it serious......I think anyone who looks at life as a game is just existing and not living life to the fullest.......jmo. I have so much to do and not enough time in which to fulfill all I want to do.....And I will never be one to merely exist.....

I think people who take life too seriously don't have any fun, and don't have much of a sense of humor.

That does not sound like you, Feralcatlady. You seem to have lots of fun and you have a good sense of humor. You know how to play.

I have known people who don't know how to play at all. They are grim and serious all the time. They are miserable people, and they are afraid to live boldly.

We are here to love life, and find joy. Intelligent creature always play. They play games. That is why everyone likes to win. That is why people love sports. That is why people love to argue and discuss things. That is why people gamble, play scrabble, etc etc. They love games.

Life is all about games. If you believe in life after death, then even death is a game. People climb treacherous mountains, do dangerous stunts, all for the thrill of it. People like to hunt, they like to compete, they like roller coasters. They like games.

The ones who win are the ones who enjoy the game, not the ones who fear, and take everything seriously.

Life is a game whether you know it or not.
