I think I'd want to be told if someone knew that a person, who I thought I was building a friendship with, was yanking my chain.

Wouldn't get that far, I'd ask her what she was doing, & try to get her to stop it. I try to stop trouble at the source if I think I can. So I'd have a chat with the person who has the misleading profile before deciding anything.

I would think that they had something to hide definitely. Depending on who the person spoke with maybe even dangerous. (Sex offender etc) or something less serious, like just someone wanting to meet someone great and not thinking they're appealing enough. Low self esteem.

I would tell anyone who I knew who spoke with that person. I would want to make sure that they understood the person was being deceitful.

Well to answer your question first of all as far as fake if they are using a pic that is not theirs and passing it off as them they could be banned for that. But now as far as playing others with their words.

I have in the past e-mailed friends that I thought was being played by others and told them why I thought that and in the long run have had a couple that has not spoken to me since.

So is it best to tell them or let them find out themselves hummm who knows some times your damn if you do and damn if you don't.

Just don't be surprised from their actions when or if you tell them.

Myself I will still do it get it off my chest I don't like seeing anyone getting played.

I've been played,,I don't know anyone that hasn't. My hopes have been crushed, and my heart broken. Mostly I was MAD at myself for not having the karma to figure it out.

I have met 2 women face to face from other sites. One was exactly as described, the other "a few extra lbs"= close to 250-300, she posted face shots only. Now she has some real pics up. Another one I was seeing and later found she had a profile up here, we never did anything that was posted that she liked, and she liked to drink-a lot!!! So a couple a weeks ago I sign up on @@@@@@ and there she is as a match for me. Its funny how people sometimes post about not wanting "drama and issues" when they have a boat load themselves. Really Iam...you need to let most of the information on this site roll off your shoulders. You are placing far too much importance and losing sight of the fun that people are having here.
