Topic: where is this great god of ours

You're right. God doesn't intervene, unless he's invited. Bad things are happening because of sin in the world. That was what the fall was all about. You can accept the Lord and stop the corruption within your own life. It won't mean that bad things won't happen to you, but it will mean you have the Lord's help and you have the Lord in your life when bad things happen. Prayer is important. When you see bad things on the news, pray for those people. Pray for those nations. We might not be there, but we can pray about things. I pray that God will touch everyone on JSH. I pray that he will bless everyone experiencing misfortune here and that he will bring those who don't know him to a saving knowledge of his grace and mercy. May God Bless us All. I think I heard that on Star Trec. They called it the "non intervention clause" But I do believe this is true. We are on our own in the infinite body of God but ~~ if you ask for help, and someone hears you, they may very well come to your rescue as the Universe of God works through each individual. It may not be God himself ... as some view God .. but someone .. something .. will begin to work to help you .. if you ask with faith and love. However if you don't ask at all, no one will hear you. If you just sit around whining and saying woe is me... no one will come. JB right on jeaniebean

JB if God already has a Divine Plan in progess and God is supposely "All-Knowing" and therefore already "knows" what everyone needs then couldn't praying to God for self-gain be considered as just a bunch of whining and woe-ing

The world was not created perfect :people born with many serious sicknesses ,poverty ,wars ,injustice.....etc. The world was not , is not and might never be perfect . The blame lays on the one or ones who created it in the first place . Humans are little creatures trying so hard to survive through knowledge ,experience ,science ......and they are doing what they can . What is the good of sicknesses ,volcanoes ,earthquakes , and other disasters ?. Not a blessing for sure . . Sin is a man made word to put some rules in a chaotic globe .Lots of wonderful things are sins according to those who believe in sins . If we want to try to understand our world , we should be looking for answers far away from the thounsands of religions around us .Religion is a failed politics created by man to control man . .

The term and concept "sin" is only defined in religious doctrine. The reasons for the problems in this creation, lie with the creators themselves. All thinking centers are co-creators of the reality in which they share. We are to blame for it all. Take responsibility. Learn to create something worthy.
