I'm going to give real honest haircare tips. I've had my hair 42 inches to my knees 3 times since 1989. Doesn't know if it makes me qualified for anything but I've listened to my top stylists very closely and learned. Ready?

First things first. You can't change your bodies chemistry or your inherited genetics. But if you have a hairloss problem propacea and rogaine do work in stopping the existing hair you have from falling out.

I tell 'em use a #1 pair of clippers and let her rip. Works for me. Trouble is my hair's real thick and needs to be thinned occasionally and I can't find a barber that'll get it off my ears like I want.

Go figure.

But diet is important along with general health. You can make your hair stronger and healthier by putting more potassium in your diet. Adding bananas rocked my world. Or potatoes. Or gelatin. Go ahead have a little bowl of jello. Your hair will thank you.

Great question monica! Washing hair. Everyone hates it, gotta do it. Here's the scoop. Only you know your hair. Your hair magnetically attracts dirt, dust and your folicles give off oils and your body dissapates over 50% of its heat through the top of your head. A lot for your poor hair to suffer through. You can wash your hair everyday. But...........

But.....always wash your hair in warm water. Never hot water. Hot water will dry your hair out terribly and quickly.

.....but lulu you have long beautiful hair and it is very strong because you have a diet full of cauliflower, asparagus, and celery. All of which are packed with potassium. You go girl.

Along with NOT washing your hair in HOT water I hate to say this and I'm not asking for attacks but those curling irons and hairdryers dry out and destroy your hair. Sorry. Want great hair. Give the curling iron and hairdryer to your enemies. Let them destroy their hair.

Ok HERE'S a secret I bet you didn't know! Your hair gets used to your shampoo and conditioner and it becomes less effective at around 30 days! So top stylists tell me to change your shampoo and conditioner every bottle full or every 30 days whichever comes first. And I learned this in 1989 and changing every 30 days really works. My hair is personally healthier. Try it, you will thank me later.

and be sure to put plenty of 40-weight on your head. that's what the 'hell's angels' do, and their hair is almost GQ quality!

As for shampoos and conditioners? Try different ones. Many different ones. Many many different ones. Been to the wal mart shampoo aisle lately? Omg! Yeah. Some tips? Ok your hair needs to be clean to be healthy. Many shampoos have large amounts of detergent and alcohol in them both bad for your hair. The shampoos that are so thick and non opaque (can't see through them) are full of detergent, alcohol, and wax which clogs pores.
