I have 200 something profile views and maybe received 5 e-mails but a few were ones that I wrote to first and they responded.
I don't seem to get any men e-mailing me so I picked a few out in my local area and wrote to them but no response. Are these men on here shy or am I just not attractive?
Please help me out because I'm beginning to think this is a site just to express yourself etc in Forum and not a dating site.

Thats normal don't stress it!! But if you have an airplane it would make it easier for your self..

Perhaps there was something in your profile that they knew would mean it wouldn't work out between you. Perhaps they prefer other types. Who knows? Just because someone does not respond to your e-mail does not mean this is not a dating site; although it certainly is so much more than a dating site. Have you had much better luck on other sites? I find them all about the same. I don't expect someone to be interested in me just because I decided to e-mail them. To each his own.

I always respond to those who e-mail me. I think it's rude not to. I feel offended, too, if I say something to someone and there's no comment back. At least an f-off, if nothing else.

But sometimes the people you e-mail aren't home, or their computer is down or they're working or something. I'll stay off for a day or two sometimes and won't get back right away, but sooner or later I respond.

Besides, the only way I usually shut up is if someone uses duct tape.

That makes sense but it would be nice to at least respond and let me know that they're not interested. I wish I did have a airplane then I would be able to be with men in other states who did respond and want to meet me However, I would have to come up with the gas money for the plane and it probably would be just as cheap to buy a plane ticket but when you work 6 days a week it doesn't give you much play time.

I've got 105 profile views at the moment, and I get tons of e-mail here from my friends and people I have dealt with in the forums, but I NEVER hear from anybody local or from the "profile lurkers," not even the ones who look at my profile every day.

JSH has the best people of any site I've been on, but the good ones are all very very far away. I haven't met anyone from here, and I would bet a lot of money I never will.

They e-mail back and forth and drop off after a while. I figure when I get one that hangs in there, they'll be a pretty good person.

maybe one would consider it inconsiderate ,but i think there may be an underlying issue here,being a guy myself i have had to face times of rejection i know that may be hard to believe i mean after all just one look at this blue box body and you would think what woman wouldn't want me,i know hard to believe ,but still i have felt rejected and i wouldn't want to inflict that pain on anyone so if i dont call them than they wouldn't feel so bad because they were rejected and i wouldnt feel so bad having rejected them now this is either my male line of thinking or just a good line of bull sh*t..either way it works for me .....
