If it does not belong to me, I don't want it!

If I can't pay for it, I don't want it!

When I was eight years old and was caught by my father.
He said he was going to beat me to a pulp, and he did.

So, THAT kind-of made me THINK about future thoughts of stealing...

And then I had to talk to MY child of 10 years old who was at a friends house.
Looking through him and his Dads baseball collection.
my son traded the friend for a Babe Ruth rookie card of his DADS, lol,,well, my son KNEW he had cheated his friend and that the Babes card was worth alot...The friends DAD called me to see if my son had it and that HE HAD TO GIVE IT BACK,
That day with me talking to him and taking him and the card back to his friends. He stood their crying as he told his friends dad he was sorry....I told him how proud I was of him telling the truth and being old enough to be that responsible.
I never spanked him or even had the thought as his lesson was one for life.
Never did he ever steal anything again, and he is NOW a cop..
I love good endings,,,,,lol:heart: drinker
My dad told me he would rather live with a liar than a theft
because with a liar, you won't lose any stuff...lol

lol, when i was a boy, must have been about six years old...my mom took me to k mart....I had on (get this...green knit pants)
I took several fishing lures and put them in my pocket. A lady saw me do it, and the manager took me to the office, my mom was paged and the lures were so tied up in my pants they had to cut them out. When my dad got home.....he took off his belt, and he gave me what i deserved, Then he sat down with me, and he told me this....

Son, if you wanted those things all you had to do was ask, You can't take things. what made you do it? I said i don't know, and he whipped my arse again...lol.....true story, no joke. He said well maybe next time you will remember this....um...there was no next time.

I couldn't tell you today what made me take them, but i do know the lesson i learned from it. I was blessed with good parents, yes, my dad was harsh, i suspect that he too, had some growing to do, I think we all do.

Life is a learning process, sometimes we make the wrong choices, sometimes we learn from our mistakes, sometimes we repeat them. The key to growth though, is in learning.

For me to sit here, and tell you all i know it all, or that i'm perfect, or that i never make mistakes, obviously would be a lie. I am a human being, we all make mistakes, I know i do, I think the thing is being able to admit those mistakes, is the first step in building character.

lol, guess you all want me to shut up now....laugh

I don't steal...
But, the other day as I walked out of my house to stroll up to the corner store ,a dude was running towards me...as he got near me a couple of cans of Redbull fell out of his jacket!(he was running h*ll bent for election)
Sure as sh*t... when I got to the store they said a guy was in there and stole something but he took off before they could catch or confront him. They actually asked me what he had and for a breif description of him.
