Since dad's death the family don't include me.
Their loss, not mine.

I will continue on as always, but when they want $ for mom; they'll be back. happened once so far.

Holiday's never live up to our expectation's.

Sometimes it almost makes me giddy how unattached I am. Free as a bird.

I should point out, however, that sometimes being a bird really sucks....

Yeah, I've felt that way. I figured out a way to get them to care though. Everytime a hodiday would come up, I was calling them or hinting them to invite me over. It's sort of a little "in their faces", but it works!

I live alone, but today? My daughter called me earlier this past week and invited me over for Easter dinner with her family. I volunteer to buy or bring things, too. For today, I spent a few hours yesterday making homemade barley and lentel soup. Show your love for them. Love begets love in return! Do it until it becomes a habit for everyone, otherwise families tend to just drift apart.
