Topic: Tell me the truth | |

Why is it so hard for someone to tell the person they love the truth?
depends on what truth needs to be told...
sometimes the truth can be a difficult thing to deal with, especially if its painful!!!

the truth is the truth does it need to matter what it is? If you love the person why is it so hard to tell the truth? Especially if you are supposed to be honest in a relationship!

the truth is not difficult in love.
love is not difficult in truth. the difficulty is that the truth does not stand except in love. the difficulty comes when one is prejudiced towards an expectation that the truth may not further that love. Love does not exist where expectations and fears cloud the truth. Truth be told, love is defined by the sharing and not the despairing of apprehensions. let freedom ring true and love dwell in truth. |

Among the myriad of lies we tell ourselves, one is that the truth would be too painful for the other person to hear.
The REAL truth is, it is a loving action to be truthful, yet tactful with those about whom we care. It does the other person, nor ourselves, any good to hide our head in the sand and harbor a truth which needs to be revealed. Of course, along with this responsibility comes the possibility that we will be rejected by the other (thus perpetuating those fears...). DO you love the person? I mean, LOVE them - the action type of love? Or are you loving your psuedo-comfortability more? |

Sometimes, but not always, people who want the truth from someone do not even know the truest of the truth. Sometimes the subjective truth is a not-truth, or perhaps a half-truth of a truth. The person who is considered the untruthful may in fact truely be an advocate of not-truth, or knows the truth but is incapable of expressing the said truth in a properly truthful manner due to particular cerebral or emotional difficulties stemming from the phobia of truthiness.
I love spewing nonsense. How yah doing folks, I'm new here so give me a call out for friend connections. |

Prolly cause the truth can hurt or be uncomfortable sometimes. If someone wants the truth from me, I'll let her rip. But they might not like what they hear. I got about thirty pages of it written up. Quite a story.
