Herons poop on things a lot.
How did I get to that statement? Thought process (slowed down for easier comprehension) "OOH! I've seen fox kits! They're adorable! They were down by the lake a-froliking... I've also seen beavers and ducks and herons by the stream near my house... I rember being warned not to stand near a heron taking off because apparently they give off long lines of poo when leaping into flight... Herons poop on things a lot."
