Ok, I am going to ask you all, hopefully I will get some insight. I got divorced 7 years ago, since then I have found dating to be for the most part unproductive. The couple women that I really loved lived far away and it was impossible to maintain the relationships. I am about ready to just give up and become a monk or something. Am I alone, or is this just the way life is?

Im thinking of becoming a nun or a lesbian.......but I really dont look good in a mullet!!

I have had the same thing happen. I think it just takes time to find the right person and right situation for everything to come together. Also dating is really difficult now a days, on most sites people seem to just want to chat and keep it a that. But I'm still hopeful that someone is out there just for me.

I think I've been on several dozen dates from Internet sites. The older you get the more you know what you don't want and at the same time, the less you know what you really need.
Just keep plugging away at it. Have expectations of meeting friends first and at some point the one that really "does it" for you will come into the picture. It's frustrating, but you have to keep an open mind. Joni~ Hey lady! |

OMG no, you are definitely not alone. Been divorced 4 years now and haven't had a single serious relationship. And haven't had a real date since June. Everyone keeps telling me, it's when you stop looking that someone comes along. Hoping that's not true, because I'll never truly give up!

It looks as if I am not out in the cold alone at least! I would like to add that I am not miserable, my life is actually very good and I enjoy it a lot. I guess it would just be a nice addition to have someone to enjoy it with
