There is a difference. Career politicians have been training for it all of their lives. They have friends in high places grooming them. They are probably related to the Queen of England or some other influential family by blood.

Non career politicians run for mayer, loose and then you never hear from them again or else never hold any really important office.

I am not following you .... related to the Queen of England ..... what country are you talking about? England? I thought we were talking about American politics?

Lineage can be traced...
Well just for starters:

This country is more of something resembling an American monarchy than most people have given thought to. This refers not only to the fact of a former president having two sons who achieved state governorships but to the genealogy of the Bush family.

The background of the Bushes is much more elevated than anyone would realize if they had not seen the Bush pedigree. Not only are they descended from kings and queens, but their wives are also, and they are related to other former U.S. presidents, who are also descended from royalty.

George Herbert Walker Bush has three lines that go back to King Edward I of England. He also is descended from King Henry I and King Henry II, both of England, and William I and Robert II, both of Scotland. Bush has common ancestors with 15 American presidents: Washington, Fillmore, Pierce, Lincoln, Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Cleveland, both Roosevelts, Taft, Coolidge, Hoover, Nixon and Ford.

Other presidents who have connections to British royalty are George Washington, the two Adamses, Millard Fillmore, Rutherford Hayes, Grover Cleveland, Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan.

Mrs. Ronald Wilson Reagan is descended from Henry I, king of France, and Henry I, king of England. Mrs. George Herbert Walker Bush is descended from Henry II, king of England, and other notables. There are other royal descents of first ladies but these will serve as examples.

George Herbert Walker Bush has kinship with Presidents Nixon, Taft, Hayes, Pierce, Coolidge, Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt, Grant, Ford, Cleveland, Garfield, Washington, Fillmore, Theodore Roosevelt, Lincoln, John Quincy Adams, and John Adams Jr.

With such lineages as these one wonders how anyone else has a chance at the presidency.

that explains it.all those english royals were inbreds.

Lindyy says:

Well, what is wrong with having a good geaneology? And,how does that affect the Presidencyhuh huh

Anyways, being of Swedish, Irish and French ancestry, it has taken me hours upon hours to only come to a 'brick wall' on most things till I get birth/death/marriage certificates, get past the various spellings of names, church records, what boat they came over on, and then what port they landed in. In other words, takes a ton of money and time and patience. And, a lot of mistakes can be made if one is not very careful. I cannot see how these books on i.e. Bush's ancestry can be accurately done, just from my own experience. I was able to get back to 1540 on one gggggggggrandfather. He was a German nobleman with a palace. Yea, I have nobility in me. And that is only because other ancestors had already been working on the geneaology.

OH, well.

I hate politics. My X-husband once ran for Sheriff of a large county. He had no chance of winning. He asked what I would do if he won, and I told him I would divorce him. (I would have too.)

He didn't win. I divorced him anyway.

I hate politics.

So, we need to know the end of this soap opera. Did you divorce him because he ran for sheriff or did you divorce because of another reason? laugh devil

I hate politics also but I am into it because I do like to know where this country is going. But then again I am pretty young so I still have a lot of time to spend in this country. I was for Ron Paul, But the massive censorship from the media buried his campaign. Now it's down to picking the lesser of three evils. With John McCain we will go broke and the USA will go belly up. John McCain is a SPENDER who likes war. And Hillary ... do I even need to say it? She is a true politician who will not live up to even one word of her promises. You can look up Hillary Rodham Clinton in the dictionary and all it will say is see double talk. Now Obama I think is the lesser of the three evils. So he smoked a little bit of crack. SO WHAT ! Bush started an illegal war and basically threw Habeas Corpus out the window, but that's ok because freedom of speech broke it's fall. Then Bush passed another law that would pardon him of any war crimes he may have committed during his term in office. The United States Military was torturing guys for information. And whats crazy is the United states has gone to war to STOP other contries from doing what this very country is doing right now. Drives me bonkers. Sorry guys but I know so much about this topic I could go on for days and days and days. Well I will close saying this, if I hadn't broke my ankle and had to have surgery and be bedridden I wouldn't have had time to do all my research on politics and government policies. But all of you keep in mind that for the last 120 years or more the government has been working on over powering the states. I don't think it is any secret that the government rules over state. But in the very constitution that made up this once great country it was very clear that the states should be the ones with the majority of power. Anyways I'm going to go now, I don't even think there are very many people out there that care enough about our country to read half of what I wrote. Yeah that's kind of where my faith in this country is now.

He was a person always fighting the system, always on some crusade to sue someone for something, always in court about something. He was a private investigator, always getting involved with so much crap one could never live in peace. He expected me to join all of his battles. I wanted peace, and happiness, not to fight one battle after another. He thrived on it. I prayed some other woman would steal him away, but alas, I had to finally just get on the bus and leave town. I packed two suitcases and left, never to return. Filed for divorce from my hometown courthouse. He died of a heart attack a year ago. The pressure of his lifestyle finally got to him. End of story.

March 19 (Bloomberg) -- Hillary Clinton's daily schedules show that her formal policy role in the presidency of her husband, Bill Clinton, shrunk once Congress shelved the health- care plan she helped craft in the administration's first two years.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20080319/pl_bloomberg/apxk2pxqjqgo

so where does this put her

when she talks about having all those years of experience
