Topic: Death Penalty.... | |

What are your thoughts on State execution?
I read an article last night about the amount of executions done State by State since 1976...The amount of executions to actual murder's is very low.... I feel if you intenionally take someone's life, you deserve to be executed, and the honest taypayer's of this country shouldnt have to pay for someone on death row for 20-40 years... |

I personally agree with it even thoughI don't like the idea of killing...contradicts I know
Texas had the highest rate in 2007. I always say don't do the crime if you can't do the time (or whatever punishment there is for the state) |

i agree as well.. there really is no "rehabilitating" some people

Just prove beyond a doubt the person is guilty and do it. Its cheaper to put in an express lane for the death penalty then drag it out for 20 + years. Texas has the right idea! |

I should say for the real murders. Not for self defense etc.

In 2007, 42 persons in 10 States were executed -- 26 in Texas; 3 each in Alabama and Oklahoma; 2 each in Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee; and 1 each in South Dakota, Georgia, South Carolina, and Arizona.
Of persons executed in 2007: -- 28 were white -- 14 were black All 42 inmates executed in 2007 were men. Lethal injection was used in 41 executions in 2007; 1 execution was by electrocution. Thirty-eight States and the Federal government in 2006 had capital statutes gotta love google |

we don't play around but the idiots keep killing
|
|

yeah this went by here last night too. I am totally against it. Lock murderers, child molesters and rapists away for life with no possibility of parole in solitary confinement. If found innocent they can be let go later in life.
If we kill them and they're innocent we're the murderers. |

we don't play around but the idiots keep killing You can have a carry permit in Texas right? |

Just send them to Al-Qaeda and let them get beheaded.

I respect your opinion, but feel if we rid of that part of society life would be easier, in regards to many things. Especially taxes and crime rate... There should be no risk of any of them ever getting out, they can always escape |

JUST remember: In Texas you CANT shoot someone in the back - BUT you can shoot them in the back of the legs until they turn around.

Well, if someone molested my child, there would be no need to send them to prison.....They wouldnt get as far as the first hearing... |
