what i don't get is why there's been so little developement in fuel efficiency for trucks.

it varies but the average is 420 or so. My 4500 trucks get around 9 mog, and I have 20 running full tilt. Then I have 40 crews out doing work constantly at retail establishments, and those are 2500 chevy duramax trucks which average around 18 mpg. I have no choice, I have to pay the man. Then the IRS comes into play. You don't even want to know what I write them every quater, lol. On top of my business, now with my dads passing, and all his crap, it's going to be insane

Well. I'm torn. I think the IRS is definately ripping me off... but I expect that. I am upset when there are suddenly increases or upcharges in things and I'm not told. That is when I feel ripped off.
I agree. Im use to taxes, but gas going up all the time, food, rent, intrest rates, movie tickets, cars, air fare, vacation, my weight...etc

I think I payed a buck and a half for a burger at burger king

most of them are as aerodynamic as a brick.

i don't remember the exact name of the program, but discovery channel had a show on where they highlighted different areas the near future for the automotive industry. there was a crazy german guy who was obsessed with aerodynamics, designed his own semi and increased fuel efficiency by either 20 or 30 percent

a lot of the fuel cost is when you are setting

and it is real cold or real hot

gotta remember the semi is the drivers home away from home

needs it for heat and for cooling

and the bottom line for product rip off

is the increasing fuel cost

if you got it more than likely it was on a truck somewhere
