a lot of the fuel cost is when you are setting

and it is real cold or real hot

gotta remember the semi is the drivers home away from home

needs it for heat and for cooling

and the bottom line for product rip off

is the increasing fuel cost

if you got it more than likely it was on a truck somewhere

umm...how is that related to my point?

you guys do know that most of europe is spending 3 times as much as us on gas, right?

meh..get more efficient cars

good for them. They are also a completely different society than we are. They can have all the socialism they want, but there are going to be some problems coming up shortly when they try to force it over here. At least I hope there will be .....and as far as fuel eficiency, i cannot do anything about what my business demands I use

cost of fuel raises the price of everything

and aerodynamics only increase mpg when the truck is moving

A lot of times we shouldnt compare other counties with ours. Most counties are as only big as some of our states. It takes much more to maintain the United States

exactly the point I was trying to make. Two different societies

of course aerodynamics only help while the truck is moving... why are you debating me on this?

imo, there should be very little interstate truck driving. trains are more efficient

huh nice irrelivant rant..

it's not the society that demands their higher mpg vehicles, it's their resources.

Gas prices & bundle cable bill. I feel ripped off about those two the most.

a truck can pick up a load in long beach

and have it in nyc in 4 days

atrain maybe 4 weeks

and it is thrown all over the container

thus making it a hazard to unload

The marriage to my ex-wife. She screwed up 16 years of my live and cost me about a quarter million dollars.

how is irrevelant? You brought the prices in europe up, and I eplained the difference. How is it not relevant

but you are the one that said it was better by train

you tell us

well the best solution would be to have a terminal

every 5 hours and relay the loads

but would probably ad 2 day to transite time

you brought up their social and political climate, when that isn't the reason for their high gas prices or ways of adjusting to it.

we have much greater resources than most every other nation in the world, and it has caused us to have a "throw away" mentality. did you know that in germany they charge you not only to bring water into your house but also to flush or drain it away? it's because of their resources, not politics

what i said was that there should be very little interstate transport via trucks. some things can't be helped, but what you described sounds like a loading issue. the loads should be more secure. and if our railways weren't lacking so severely, it wouldn't take nearly as long

how long do you think it takes too switch train cars around at each railyard hub

the issue is not with loading or the same thing would happen
when it is moved by truck

but it doesn't

and this is what you said
