I guess the gigs up with the dollar, its not back by much these days and we have way to much debt....The U.S. needs to cut the credit cards up and start paying some debt down and then maybe the dollar can be saved...Just my thoughts :) |

The Euro is not sustainable. It will fall. May take a few years, but will not last. The yen has already been exposed to be highly volatile. It will fluctuate forever. The biggest issues with the dollar are:
Trade defecit (See NAFTA, lack of American manufacturing base and breaks for corporations who outsource jobs overseas) Budget Defecit (see WAR) Lack of Federal Regulation of corporations and finance (See Sub Prime Credit Meltdown) Skyrocketing crude oil prices (See point 3) "Conservative" Economic Principles (see points 1-4) These can all be mitigated if not completely eliminated, but it all depends on the political climate and the public's stomach for the government's brazen disregard for the American people. |

On the other hand, the stronger euro makes shopping trips to the U.S. more appealing to Europeans. |

The only way to pay down the debt is to end the war, as well as stimulate industry and the infrastructure. In other words, put more people to work and more dollars in their pockets so they can buy more goods and services. Also, try to pay down our huge debts with China and Mexico. http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ |

Socialism and Communism are fantastic fixes. For about a year or two. Then the world goes to hell and we're back in the dark ages. Good luck with that. |

Our exports are up, imports are down and we are creating jobs in the US at a faster rate because the dollar is weak. China is the flagship country for deflating its own currency so that it will export more and increase its job level.
The US government is deflating the value of the dollar on purpose. |
