i have OCD. actually caused a break up. lol. i think its awesome to have. i would much rather be clean and neat than a slob. was diagnosed when i was 17 and it has only gotten worse since.
i even count the tiles on the ceiling in a classroom....the number of stripes on wallpaper...stuff like that.
it can be rather annoying at times because it tends to cause ADD since my attention goes to counting something instead of listening. most of yall have it easy from the sound of it.

You're right.. I'm sorry about that...

looking at the list the OP did, ive got a lot more symptoms of OCD than i thought.

what i will say is, if your living with someone its quite obvious.

what happened with me is, they DIDNT treat my anxiety, and because they didnt, i developed OCD.

ive tried a number of meds they say might help, but they dont.

i saw my doctor today he gave me a load of valuim tablets, and even with them i still check things over and over again, they just help the anxiety to a certain degree.

I dont. Im compulsive though.
specially with medication.
I avoid pills because of it.

I think its normal to want to check behind yourself. I get the feeling like I havent fully completed a post. because after posting, I forget what I wrote. or I think back on it, cant remember all of it, and feel like it doesnt make sense. so I want to check it again to make sure it does make sense.

which it doesnt grumble drinker

thats normal, most people look back and check it makes sence and spelling etc. im talking with me ill do something 30 to 40 times, or even more and if it wasnt for my night meds id never sleep. im sure the people will tell you here OCD isnt pleasant, but i think anxiety and panic attacks are far worse. i suffer with both, so i think its fair for have a opinion as i suffer with both.

Traditionally speaking.. OCD is not treatable using benzodiazepine. It is not effective.
Behavioral modification therapy is.

Same with Anxiety disorder too..
At most.. A non-narcotic sedative should be all. Such as Trazadone.

Debbie.. I've noticed one thing amongst a few in your posts, I'd like to gently point out.

If our interaction goes like any other you have had on these subjects..We will talk round and round in so many inter-looped circles. For everything I say.. you will have something to counter. Introducing reasons and excuses as we go.

That is a process I am familiar with. A very common defense tactic.

because a lot of the milder meds your suggesting arnt liscensed in the uk. the meds im on at the moment are helping. i would like to know if anyone has found any homepathic treatments that help the anxiety, i can cope with the ocd.
