I think alot of good things have been said here. With the exception of the sleep farter, guy. I think that it's a human condition to see greener grass somewhere else. I tried to act how I thought my girlfriends wanted me to act, but all I found out is that, it's not just "Men", or "Women", that are one way or another. Settling into generalizing all men into sharing one characteristic, like wanting space, or disliking clingy girls, is inevitably going to be problematic. The same goes for men, generalizing women. All people are unique in their experience of the world, and while some share traits, no one came by those traits the same way. All a person can do is try their best to understand what the other person wants, and try to learn from our past mistakes. Feel your guy out, and do what you think is best.

I would never put plastic on my furniture. I'm Italian; that ended when I left my parents house.

Sarah: just tried to e-mail you. I just wanted to say I enjoyed sharing with you b4. You're a nice girl.

As for the plastic -- my parents drove us kids crazy. We're Italian and plastic was on everything. I'd rather buy a new couch every couple of years.
