I want to know if anyone from here has had any problems with strange people just popping up on your yahoo with no invite or even approving them?? I have had several issues of strange men just popping up on my yahoo and I have no clue who they are or how they got there. Now I ask them how they got my address and this is what they say "I got your email address from the site JustSayHi" Now I know this is not true cus we can't even put emails on our profiles and plus I used a different email for this site!! So what is up with this and how do I keep these people away?? They are coming from Africa mainly Nigeria, I know that these are spammers but how can they get personal info about me?? Shyt they even know my name, this is scary and I don't like it!! So has anyone had this problem?? Please share your some insight on how I can prevent this from happening agan if I can stop it at all??

the only thing i can think of, is call your internet service and ask them to check things out for you

Make up a dummy yahoo account with a fake name like "Jennifer Stevens" or something like that. Put your personal information in another city and state. That way, if they look into you, they can get the fake info, and your identity is safe.

Mark your yahoo profile to NOT show you online.

they search the yahoo profiles for people that are online and if your profile shows online they can im you. and make sure your yahoo profile DOES NOT have a link to JSH on it!!

I've had this problem a lot in the past couple of months, although not linked fron this particular site. They always seem to be from Nigeria or Cheboksary(?), saw my "structure", looking for the same wonderful marriage, and the children, like the friend found on "this" site. Occassionally, it's even the same person using multiple names. Easy enough to google "dating scammers" or something of the like, and lo and behold, there they are, along with fifty aliases. Report it, delete it, and for the love of Pete- don't be the fool who actually sends them money!

i unfortunately have had the same problem and they said the same things...they even got into my personal email account because i had my username the same on everything...what i did was delete my account and start a new one........ i have stopped the problem...good luck on this....

Same here, I get this 2 or 3 times a week. It's never anybody I've ever heard of. I will use the option to look at their profiles, and they're always empty or might as well be. So I just block them.

And they always seem to happen when I'm in invisible mode on the IM.

I have never gotten anything that says anything referring to JSH but then my user name here and on yahoo or totaly different and don't use my yahoo account for this site but have not had any problems on msn either but again my user name here is not the same there.

I had that happen once.....from a female. It was hilarious. I have no idea how she got in there but she started IMing me and wanted me to bring her back from Africa...... I played along with her for a minute then just ignored her from that point.
