Occassionally, but just being aware of your surroundings is a great help in seeing it coming. They tend to make the first move, and you can see the discomfort in their eyes, and hear the wavering in their voice. No bueno...

I think if you are feeling used, that is a red flag that person isn't really a friend in the first place!
