I have given up on the dating sites since I met 11 men and out of those guys, eight had posted pics that were anywhere from 10 to 20 years old. So, if you think you are going to find someone on the internet, don't count on it. I am going back to the dance clubs, socials and the like to meet men. I didn't meet the man of my dreams, but at least I didn't meet a bunch of liars the way I did on the internet. Internet dating is not good since so many people lie and the aftermath is that we become jaded because of it.

Don't be so bitter. Accept those guys for the jerks they are. We aren't all like that, problem is distance. Get in here, make friends & enjoy the conversation. We flirt, tease, pick on & just have fun. If a couple find eachother, we are all happy for them. Hope you will give us a try & if not; just find happiness.

Hi greer, been up since 7. Had coffee and then out for breakfast with eggs sausage and grits. Then off to the library and grocery, my fridge has been fixed and had to re-stock a lot of things. I feel sorry for leahmarie, for a lot of years I lived about 40 min's from where she is. If you see this - There are some truly wonderful people here that would like to become friends - give us a try.

I take the time to write them first...say nice friendly things..maybe 1 nice reply back..and then they are gone....

Leahmarie don't give up, explore all the avenues of meeting someone, i.e. join activities in your community, volunteer, join a hiking/biking/running etc etc group. Don't just think you're going to meet someone on these dating sites,not everyone is who they seem and for some people writing a great sounding profile is a real talent, and sometimes it just what they think they are or what they think women want to hear.

In retrospect you can even date someone from the "real world" and be fooled by what kind of person they really are. After all that's what dating is all about getting to know a person, their likes, dislikes, personality, if they been to re-hab(just kidding)
