They seem to think the booty call is more inportant then a true relationship I find this remark about "booty call" most interesting. Tell me just how men are TOTALLY responsible for having sex with a lady. Unless it is rape, are the ladies just as responsible for "booty call" as men? If you allow yourself to be decieved, do you not have a responsiblity for not being more careful. I have allowed some people to use me, MY FAULT. So let's not use this "booty call" crap, just on men. Ladies get just as horny & desperate as men. If anyone compromises their morals, it is their business for their needs at that time. PERSONAL responsibility is the name of REALITY. MY opinion. It seems to me that people want to find someone right this minute. They don't want to take the time to develop a friendship before jumping into "love". Or, if a person doesn't fit into that mold of who someone thinks they have to have, they don't give the other person a chance. People are also real hesitant to try the distance thing, and based on experience and what others have posted here, the local fair is pretty slim.  So my answer is that I would seriously like to find someone that I enjoy being with and who feels the same about me, but I'm not betting that is will happen!  Nan  Very nobly put nan....with instant e mails and so much instant gratification, its like I want love and I want it RIGHT NOW...   so few people will take the time to write back and forth for a while....people limit themselves by distance and other criteria...maybe we need to remind ourselves not to go around with eyes and minds wide shut...maybe love is right under our nose... BUT...I really do hate that bull from friends...when you are least looking...you'll find someone  Anyways its almost time to catch the bus and I'll be spokin the driver etal

I think "getting serious" at our ages has alot of side factors, that make it even more difficult.
Property, grandkids, kids, we have way more to consider, LEGALLY. |

The other thing is that we all sometimes put up too many 'walls'. "He must like this" - "She must like that" - "I wont put up with whatever". Yep, tearing some of them down may get us hurt, but as I see it - the alternative is being Alone. |

I think you can be serious about another person without committing yourself to them for the rest of your life. If I ever meet someone I really like, I will focus on making that relationship the best it can be. Will it last forever? What is forever? I don't know that I will ever meet someone I want to commit the rest of my life to ever again. In the meantime, I enjoy friends and meeting people and all that life has to offer.
