A variety of things...
It could mean they stressed with other things and need to focus on them. It could mean they aren't ready for a relationship, or need to slow it down. But really, what it means is they aren't willing to be honest with you, if "I Need Space" is all they say. JMO |

I was afraid of that! And if I'm smothering, what does that mean? I guess I know the answer but not what I wanted. I want to become closer and apparently they don't. so time to find someone wanting closeness huh? |

to be blunt, it's over.
Move on, and get ready for the dropping of the "this isn't working for me" bombshell. sorry to be so negative, but 90% of the time thats the deal. Ideally, you would be better off by changing the rules on her and saying that you don't think she is right for you. It could simply be a relationship powerplay on her part...now to be fair, I don't know either of you or your dynamic - so i could be way off base. Good luck |

I'm so sorry, but if I cared about a guy, I'd tell him why I need space. And if he cared about me, he'd say, Oh no, I want to be by your side to help, whatever you need. And I doubt you're smothering, unless you're calling ten times a day and coming over uninvited. |

When dating sometimes **** happens where one person wants to hang out and see each other "not as equal" as the other party Thus, space. so stfu. stop calling so ****ing much. and chill on it. Or shes cheating on you who knows? |

All I get is shallow one liners. Maybe I'm pushing a bit but we did feel strongly once and I want that again. No, not calling ten times a day, just want to be together the one or two days a week she is free?

Yup, space never amounts to anything other then another guy or in some cases a girl.

Every woman that I was dating...or in a long term relationship(Marriage) that told me that wanted to end the relationship. In some cases they had already started to date someone else.

If she is not wanting to spend any of her free time with you, I'd say it's over. Close the book on that one, so you can be ready for the next person that comes along that WILL want to spend time with you.
