I am a CCW holding person...I believe it is everyones right to be able to carry a gun when they want where they want ( within the guidelines and reason). Everyone has the right to carry the gun if they so chose to feel safe and for protection..god forbid anyone would ever have to use it..but if you did..it would be nice to have it there. As a person registering a CCW permit... I would hope those are your views. Mine are radically different. Each belief is permitted. I do not believe a piece of metal would keep me safe, and the idea of it gives me no sense of security or comfort. No object can do that. I do that, in a variety of ways. And trust me, your chances or using your gun or having it used on you are higher than you think. However, I'm glad it makes you feel better.  ty I was taught very well how to handle myself and my gun if I should ever have to use it. I took my course..and my father who is a Police Officer taught me very well how to handle it the right way and to use it when I was younger i've grown up around them so i'm comfortable with it. But as you said..it could easily get turned around and used on me (god I hope not) but thats always the risk that I assume when I take it out with me. These are JMO's no one has to feel the same way I do.

Where im from you have to worry about the Cops just like the Crooks. I dont think i want to hunt a Bear with a Knife Well, stay out of the woods, then.... like me! And I hear wearing deoderant in there is a bad idea....

What a nice rational agree to disagree thing we've got going on here.
 See everybody? This nice lady and I can disagree and share our opinions and have them respected, because they are presented factually and without judgment. Maybe you should go hang out in the political forums, FaithfulOne. I can't take it myself...

I have hung out in there..usually its pretty good and sometimes I just have to walk away and not go back to that thread lol and I agree it's nice to agree to disagree and not have things so twisted and spiraled out of control that it's just nonsense being spoken

for many years I had a CCW permit but chose not to renew it. I also have one of those rifles that could easily break you shoulder if not properly handled, it is a ROLLING BLOCK 45/70 designed for hunting buffalo and elephants. have numerous other weapons all legal, but have not had any of them out except to clean for many years.

Im not onna these guys that needs a gun to feel manly. Ive always lived in the country and Ive always hunted and had guns since I was a kid. Im not a "gun fanatic".

I don't think you need a gun to feel manly. just that I was raised on a backwoods farm, hunting for food was a way of life, the weapons I have belonged to my dad and to my granddad, I am not one who needs guns, but I plan to keep these.

I matured when I bought my first gun.
I dont see how anyone could use a gun irresponcibly, just something about holding makes you feel intelligent. The effort and team work humanity has put into making something that everyone can use to protect and support themselves. IDK...
