I love those kind of nights! Yesterday before work I colored Easter eggs with my daughter and it was quiet! It was fabulous!

Shoot, I forgot Easter's coming up And my sister's birthday, and my mom's and my brother's and my nephew's. Expensive month

I agree my daughter started soccer, Easter, and her birthday is coming up. BTW thanks for reminding me, my moms birthday is coming up!

No prob! My son's birthday is next month. Gotta figure out what to do for that. In lieu of a party, we generally go away for a weekend somewhere.

That's cool. I have no idea what to do for my daughter. She wants to go visit her friends in Seattle. However, I fear for their safety I'm not sending my kid there. The girls are the closest thing to siblings she has ever had. There mom has MS and is in a long term care facility and has been for about 10 years now, since they were little. I know she misses them terribly, but I also know their dad has a Cocaine addiction and is using. I don't know what to do. We are making them a care package and sending them a ton of fun stuff. I just worry about them. For years they have been like my own kids. They used to live next door.

Yeah, that's a tough one. How old are the kids?

One is my daughters age 9 and the other one is 11.

Geez. Maybe instead of having your daughter go see them, maybe they could come visit you for a few days? I wouldn't let my son into such a volatile situation either. His dad's a recovering alcoholic and I'm always afraid he's gonna start drinking again. My son doesn't remember much of the drinking days, just the emotions. But I won't let him into that situation again, that's for sure.

I know their dad wouldn't let them come stay with me, no matter what. They used to live next door. He was living with his girlfriend and the only reason she was with him was the girls. Those were her kids. They moved to Seattle for a fresh start and she found out his dealer was mailing him packages. She is torn up like no other. He was really controlling and basically has been holding her hostage since December. She had to leave and escape but she has no custody rights to the girls. She moved back home and showed up last weekend by herself back at the house. He has cut off all her communication with the girls. I know my neighbor called the girls grandparents that share custody and told them to get the girls out of there. So I guess at this point we can only pray.
