OK , so I had to sing at a booking today. We set up and everything is going fine. You know, we are singin' and really havin a great time. Out of no where this older man stood up and raised his hands, I thought he was goin to pray then he just dropped. We of course rushed to his aid. I was terrified!
When the emts got there he was pronounced dead.
I am flippin out by this point . I have never wittnessed anything like that before.I am pretty shaken by it. We only got thru two songs before it happened.
His wife turned and said to me that the song I sang was his favorite song and now I feel bad. I know its not my fault, but even still.....
How does a person cope with something like this?

Dying while hearing your favorite song isn't too bad of a way to go, if you think about it.

It was his favorite song!
He passed away happy if you ask me...
Try not to let it worry or bother you.
It was his time... (not your singing )

You absoulutely had nothing to do with that, but it was an experience you will never forget, life happens...so does death...it just was, that's it, it was him time, god called him, and the fact that he was prob having fun is a good thing,,, so that's it...

Some people pass away with singing as a comforting guide to eternity. Especially if it is a song they love. No worries with you though. It's okay. The angels just sung him home. flowerforyou

Death is something Absolute, and will eventually catch up with us,

Witnessing a Death can be Starting and tramatizing,

But The Man passed with a Sound he would have liked to stay echoing with him on the other side

You done nothing wrong, more then that, someting for him in a sense

I know what everyone is sayin , but I still feel bad. And now his wife wants me to sing at his funeral.

Do I ?
It would be rude not to.
I am just not at all ok with this at this moment.
I am a mess.

Wow... you made an impression with your singing on her.
Its up to you... but sometimes when we sing it helps us
through the hard things in life. flowerforyou

Think of it this way...Suppose it was your time to go...
Wouldn't it be nice if you were listening to one of your
favorite songs just by coincidence? Would you blame the
singer?!

Don't let it bother you - but talk about it!! flowerforyou

It is possible ....that all that was missing between Him and God.......was to ....REALLY hear that song..........
Consider that God used you in a mighty way........to release this Spirit......to PARADISE
