In a bar they are just as likely to have a disease.. besides there are a lot of call girls that do not work the street corners... i understand what deb is saying to but i have been to a lot of countries and i can tell you that if prostitution was legal here it would take a lot of girls off the street. people would not see them standing on corners. in the countries i have been to they are listed as gentlemans clubs. they advertise in the news paper and magazines. the only thing that is against the law is to have sex without a condom so the girls are cleaner in these places than the ones on the street

I'm not saying that I'm for or against it, but spending resources and tax dollars on something that can't be eliminated is illogical, irrational and downright stupid.

In many cities(most famously Amsterdam) it's regulated, taxed and the workers aren't subject to the violence and disease that sex workers in other countries are.

I'm in no way condoning it, and don't see the need to use it myself, but I am a reasonable human. Regardless of my opinion, if it can be done, people will do it, so regulate and tax it.
