Yes, a brother-in-law, drowning, a stranger climbing over a train, a broken down motorest in 70 mph traffic, STOPPED in the center lane. three times running a suicide attempt person to the hostpital.
And MANY who would NOT be here if someone else would have been driving my truck...

No...but I have had a couple former b/f's tell me I was going to give them a heart  attack! laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Seriously though...I know many Moms that have had to pull their toddlers out of harms way...(except maybe the one you described in OP Debbie)...God knows I've had to more times than I can count! I work with physically & mentally disabled children...many who are medically fragile...so I have to always be ready/alert while at school. I have been CPR/First Aid trained and other than helping kids out through seizures, I haven't had to 'save a life' yet and like most, hope I don't have to use those skills...but I am prepared should the occasion arise. flowerforyou

thats excellent you are trained to do CPR. i think EVERYONE should be trained to do it. When i was dental nursing we were told its 2 breaths to 15 compressions, but apprently its been changed??? is that correct?? what amazed me was, i was the ONLY one that risked my life to save that little girl, no one else, attempted to do anything at all,let alone risk there life. not one person even got out there car, that was shocking, its beyond me how anyone can do nothing when they see a 2 year old about to be run over.

in a way yes, because your paying to save your daughters life, the rest is in the hand of the doctors.

its disgusting that you have to pay.

how old is your daughter?? if you dont mind me asking whats wrong with her heart??

she's 17 and has sub aortic stenosis. insurance pays for some, but I've had to sell my house, car, and everything I owned to pay medical bills. and, I also have to pay her insurance premiums which ar over $450 a month

I think I've saved a life or two, for some reason people keep coming to me when they are contemplating Suicide... weird.

I'd say I was able to talk them out of it because they didn't go through with it, but if they came to me, they probably were already looking for reasons not to kill themselves...

I saved a little boy from drowning in a crowded pool while his mother flirted with the staff. His float turned upside down and he was still holding onto it...she did not even notice! Didn't even say thank you! grabbed him like it was his fault..drowning in 3 feet of water! It can happen in any amt of water! I was a wreck the rest of that day!

not long back, me and my mom were driving along a very busy dual carriageway, and i saw a little girl about aged 2 , running across the dual carriadgeway, cars going from both directions and 2 lanes. she hadnt made it very far YET, before she got any further i jumped out the car ran across the road and grabbed her, and took her to safety. i didnt think of my own life at all, i didnt look to see if there was any cars coming, i just ran and grabbed her, and held her in my arms. her mom was walking a very long way behind her, her mom could have cost her daughters life and mine. how irresponsible.no way would have she made it to the other side.

as anyone else saved a life?? or tried??

Well I hope to God you shared a little bit of wisdom with the dumbbutt mom. Unbelievalbly irresponsible. Wow.

God bless you!flowerforyou

when i grabbed the little girl, and put her to safety, it took about 10 minutes for her mom to get there, so she was a very long away from her 2 year old, how could she do that knowing theres a very busy dual carriadgeway ahead, i dont know. but due to her irresponsible mother, i could have got killed, as i ran out the car and didnt look to see if there were any cars coming, and the little girl could have got killed to, if i wasnt there at the right time. its a very busy dual carriageway and there was lots of cars, not one person got out there car to save her, only i did. i find that shocking.
