I went to the site, not dismissing it as a crock cause it looks pretty straight forward, BUT and you knew this was coming... I dont know how they reached their conclussions when you have places such as canada and norway who have people standing in lines for months to receive treatments... canadian on this site will atest to that, people flocking to the US for care from there.

norway, lines for medical have been know to wait for a year just to see a general practioner, now that is an extreme case I'll grant you, but have you ever had to wait months to be seen by your doctor?

Im going to research how the went about their little study, if for no other reason I am now intersted in this.

and the weirdness, since when they did a city by city comparison of healthcare world wide the US had 17 out of the top 25.

My personal opinion is that some horror stories are hyped by our for profit system about other countries and the american horror stories are swept under a rug. I suspect the fact thatwe have 40 million americans with no health care at all skews the data downward. In my case my docotors office is 3 miles away I have full coverage for my family at around 36 bucks a month with a ten dollar co-pay per visit. My prescriptions are 5 or ten dollars and no more unless it is non needed. I imagine I have some of the best health care in the world myself but I am one of 300 million in this country.

I put a link in a thread of yours taking you to norwayand talked about their medical care among other things.. dont know if you looked at it or not but interest the hype coming out of their own mouths.

I have some of the best healthcare to , for me and my daughter, it doesnt cost a dime, dental and vision are 27 buck a months tho, and covers it all, no co pays, no rx co pays either. but Ive more than paid for it in my opinion.

WASHINGTON — The United States has found 500 chemical weapons in Iraq since 2003, and more weapons of mass destruction are likely to be uncovered, two Republican lawmakers said Wednesday.

"We have found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, chemical weapons," Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., said in a quickly called press conference late Wednesday afternoon.

Munitions Found in Iraq Renew Debate

Rep. Susan Davis (D-Calif.) asked whether the munitions could be characterized as "the Golden Oldies of weapons of mass destruction." Maples said he was "not sure what Golden Oldies are" but added that the munitions were "dangerous. . . . even in a degraded mode, they will produce hazardous and potentially lethal effects and that we would categorize them as weapons of mass destruction."

American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, June 29, 2006 – The 500 munitions discovered throughout Iraq since 2003 and discussed in a National Ground Intelligence Center report meet the criteria of weapons of mass destruction, the center's commander said here today.

"These are chemical weapons as defined under the Chemical Weapons Convention, and yes ... they do constitute weapons of mass destruction," Army Col. John Chu told the House Armed Services Committee.

WMD Found In Iraq

The offensive missiles discovered are an entirely different matter. The weapons are offensive in nature and definitely threatened peace in the region. They could have killed many civilians in surrounding countries.

Yes, and down further in the same article (full CNN version) it says:

Offering the official administration response to FOX News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in useable conditions.

"This does not reflect a capacity that was built up after 1991," the official said, adding the munitions "are not the WMDs this country and the rest of the world believed Iraq had, and not the WMDs for which this country went to war."
