I had a kid come through my scuba course recently...He was 17 and about to enlist in the Marines... He told of how his dad was a sniper in Viet Nam with over 20 confirmed kills... He was very very excited about the prospect of getting to Iraq to "kill Ragheads". When I asked him why, what did they ever do to you ? he replied, "nothing...I just want match my dad's record" When I asked what good did it do that his dad killed so many North Viet Nam soldiers or whatever...he replied " My dad said they weren't soldiers that were gooks"
I just shook my head & wondered... |

Yea..pray for our men and women to come home safe and also pray for the people that have to make the decision to go to war or not. Im not saying that i support the war or not, that is not the issue, but I would not want to be the one to make that decision... You can't please everyone. We also need to pray that once they do some home that they can re-adjust to civilian life. I hear it is a really hard thing to do. Also pray that they do not come home with any diseases that they picked up while there... brings tears to my eyes just thinking how many are there that miss their family, that have missed babies first steps and many other "firsts" that can never get back.
I do appreciate the ones that fight for my freedom.... support and prayers for you all |

Support them by bringing them home...I say... jmo we support our troops by showing respect for the job they have chosen to do - a job that most of us don't have the b*lls for) we show our support by not *****in everytime it comes up in conversation or in the news. we show our support by loving and taking care of the families they have left, so we might continue to have the freedom to sit in our warm safe homes and complain. GOD BLESS EVERY SOLDIER-PAST AND PRESENT; LIVING IN TIME OR LIVING IN ETERNITY; AND EVERY BRAVE YOUNG MAN CONSIDERING ENLISTING IN THE FUTURE-NEAR OR FAR. I LOVE YOU ALL, AND I RESPECT AND APPRECIATE EVERY SACRIFICE. I LOVE YOUR FAMILIES FOR SHARING YOU WITH US. GODSPEED ! GOD BLESS AMERICA ! |

I know nobody wants to hear this here, but, cowboy up!!!!! Give these guys in Iraq a high five, toast them a drink!!!! Pray they shoot straight and get out!!!! Heres to you guys they dont have a "happy" with a rifle!   when you get there, kill the little brother of the bomber that killed my friend. If you dont, thats ok. I'm hoping not to be a pain in the ass! Shoot straight boys, I've cried alot of tears for you, I wish I was there. Love Ya, Wish I was there shootin praire dogs!!!!! I've got a bunch of friends there and hopefully within the next 6 months i'm over there too |

For starters we are in the wrong country and if we are really fighting terrorism which is a nice facade but hardly realistic ..this war is about oil .. spin it anyway you want but the blood of those dying is on bushes hands ..

For starters we are in the wrong country and if we are really fighting terrorism which is a nice facade but hardly realistic ..this war is about oil .. spin it anyway you want but the blood of those dying is on bushes hands .. but we're speaking right now of supporting the men who are doing the hard work. your belief/disbelief in the validity of what initiated this conflict isn't relevant in this current conversation. no one wants to force you to believe that this came about the right way for the right reasons. but soldiers fight because they have chosen to fight, not because they love why they must fight. bush will have to answer for his role...as will every bomb-carrying, back-pack-blowing, market-place anhilator. |
