Why are they giving you those? No wonder there are so many people taking these things like candy.huh They gave them to my dad when he was dying of cancer.indifferent

It's just a brandname for morphine, and it is prescribed short term for burns, and excesssive pain.

I know what it is. And it is over prescribed for minor injuries. It is suppose to be used for people with pain that is unbearable, say like CANCER.noway Obviously hers isn't, or she wouldn't be able to type on the computer. It just makes me wonder is all.

um... yeah try spilling a cup of 2oo degree water on your hand and tell me you're not going to want meds

its oxycodone (COH- DONE) not... i repeat... NOT oxy cotton theres a giant differance

Burns do hurt and there is a time for pain meds. My divorce I owe to pain pill addiction and the behavior that comes with it, so that stuff scares me.

Much agree. Lortabs are in the same group. For temporary use, a great blessing.. for addiction prone a curse.

No, not morphine but they are narcotics.

oxycontin is crap, hydrocodone is better. the end of the day shes had a bad burn she needs pain meds.

to the person disputing she DOESNT need the pain relief, well listern to this.

I take high doses of demerol/pethidine daily, and 60mg of df118 x 4 daily, and indometacin, are you disputing that?? i suffer with severe abdo pain from endometriosis, and bladder problems, and cluster headaches. pinky needs the pain relief like i do.

oxycotton isnt crap its one of the best forms of pain releiver for cancer patients and degenerative spinal disease , and hydrocodones are like one step above a tylenol 3 thier junk but actually some people react differently to different meds its all in ur own chemical make up

i have saw a lot of pain management doctors, and i have been on many painkillers like fentanyl, oramorph, but they didnt suit me. i also know a lot about meds because ive worked in the medical profession for about 8 years. just because people know things, it doesnt make them a crack head.

thats correct, one pain med might work for one person and not for another.

actually her doctor should of prescribeed her a burn cream which contains a pain reliever in it which would numb the area of the pain directly rather numbing her whole body lolmost dr. tend to prescribe what the drug companies paying them to push
