The Storm Of Calm
The rumble in the distance Like a stampede Unleased upon the sky, Waiting for the thunder And the rain to comfort This inner sigh. My mind aloft as clouds pass by Which sparks an inner thought, Something which was dormant, Becomes something that is sought. The stirrings within this wretched soul Become annoyance to heavy pain, Here I sit and wonder, Where is that blasted rain. Caught up in day to day, The rush of life will pass me by, Listen to the trickle As the tears fall from the sky. My soul renewed in comfort, My thoughts erased by sound, Listening to that gentle rumble As raindrops kiss the ground. Nature has it's way To find the calm in me, Just as music calms the beast, The thunderstorm Will always set me free. Fadedspirit 2/27/2008 |
