UPDATE:
Finally caught up with Pam's daughter. They are having some problems with backing her off the sedation so may not have her off the ventilator by Sunday, but hopefully soon. She is doing okay though, just a natural reaction that she is fighting the ventilator as they take the sedation away.

We had a nice long talk, they have been giving her the run around at the hospital, she hasn't been able to talk to the doctor YET - after all this time, some nurses are nice and give her information and some are rude. We came up with a game plan and I have a feeling they will be a little nicer to her from now on. (I have worked in hospitals for years, so know some of the tricks.)

You're welcome Ms. Teddy. I am trying really hard to
stay in touch with her kids. I have been talking to
her daughter every day these last few days, been harder
to reach her son lately. They are holding it together,
but at 18 and 19, it is hard for them. I couldn't believe
how the nurses had been treating her daughter when she
told me, I think the information I gave her will help her
out some.

Some of the nurses have been good to her, but most have not,
I think that is disgraceful when your mother is on a ventilator and you ask questions and they treat you so badly. Wouldn't even answer a lot of her questions.

Thank you for your prayers. I know getting off a ventilator is hard, my brother was on one twice, for three weeks at a time each. I hope Pam can get off it sooner than that.

Marie, thank you! I've been keeping in touch with her daughter some but I hesitate to bug her too much as I know how difficult all this is for them and I don't want to burden her any more.
