UPDATE: I just got home from my aunt's memorial a little while ago. I talked to Pam's daughter for a little bit yesterday afternoon, but haven't talked to her today yet. She was so excited, Pam opened her eyes and looked at her and she could tell that Pam recognized her. They have changed the medication Pam is on, so she is apparently a little more alert now. Pam's brother wasn't there yet, but maybe is there now and hopefully checking things out. Hopefully she will make her recovery faster now. Her daughter was so excited to have Pam be able to look at her, she can't talk yet, of course. I told her about all her friends on here praying for her and she is telling her mom, and she wanted me to thank all of you for your prayers and love. Thank you for all your prayers and support, and keep them coming. You peoiple are the best. Take care. (((Marie)))) I can't thank you enough for keepin us updated on Pam. I wish I had the energy to talk on the phone, can't do much of that without coughin my head off these days   I am happy to hear Pam opened her eyes and knew her daughter was there!! Just talked to her daughter a few minutes ago. The new medication is allowing Pam to be a little more alert. She can't talk, of course, with the tube in her mouth, but her daughter said she was moving her lips trying to talk to her, so that is a good sign I think, she is more alert, recognizing her kids and trying to talk now. I really think she is fighting hard to come back. Her daughter is so excited with the change, that Pam is able to open her eyes and recognize her and try to talk to her now. She is really grateful for all the prayers and good thoughts and wants to thank everyone. Keep the prayers going, they are obviously working. Thanks for all the support. Take care.

Just got an update from Pam's daughter, she's still pretty sedated but they're trying to wean her off everything. She was conscious for a while today and tried to talk so that's good news She may still have to have some more surgery but they're not sure yet.
