Foul, when used by anyone. Most definately. It's sort of sad there is a double standard with that.
I took my son to an amusement park last summer and a woman in line (well, young lady really) kept using that word when talking to her friends. I asked her to watch her language. She was very offended and upset, then asked me what right I had to ask her to stop saying a word she had every "right" to use. I looked at my six year-old son, then at her, and I said, "Because you're teaching him the word. And implying it's okay to use it. Kids repeat what they hear".

I must have missed what it was | |

If we don't want to hear that word, we don't need to use it either "Foul"!

That I agree, because song lyrics get repeated in out mind. Not trying to be mean, but this could be a hurtful topic!

crikeys, people just don't know when to give it up. This should never have been a question in the first place.
Axe murdering - fair or foul? Embezzling - fair of foul? Sniper attacking - fair or foul? some things are easy, people.

The Original was The 'N' word, fair or foul. Obviously when it is used to denigrate a culture it is foul. But the word itself has been glamorized in film and in music. Kinda like the F word. Often times it's use has absolutely nothing to do with a slur, and if we as a culture can't get past a word how the hell are we EVER going to get past the much larger Racism issue?

Not trying to debate, but the term hurts some people. I hope it gets so no one says it. I'm not into others being hurt.
I also wanted to add to how can we get over racism, is by all being kinder gentler ppl. and not flinging terms/insults. The meaning of that word is -ignorant person, nuff said!
