Ok dragon. Do you know what the war on terrorism is? Because its not a war on Bin Ladden. Yes it was started after 9/11, but its sole purpose is not to capture him its to "curb the spread of terrorism" He havent caught bin ladden because he is not being active and hiding out in caves. Its hard to catch someone when you dont know where he is. Saddam, however, has been supporting terrorism(such as paying families of suicide bombers). By stopping him we are curbing the spread of terrorism. There have been operations in Europe, Africa, Asian, and the Middle East. We can't just steal their oil, the UN wouldn't allow it and thats just stupid if you think that. Now if we help them set up a government and they are pleased with us then yea we could become good friends and have better business relations. Who the *%$# cares. Saddam was a horrible person and those people deserve better. Okay lets define terror-ist for those unfamaliar with the word or the picture that goes with it, shall we? Bush's definition of the war on terror=Saddam Everyone elses definition of terrorist and the war on terror=all terrorist world wide, not just arabic or Iraqi but world wide. War on terror to the world is a world wide problem not just one person or place. Which would be a more effective war on terror, baby shrubs idea of Saddam and Iraq or the world view of every terrorist organization in the world and all it's participants? You have been brainwashed to believe all terrorist are arab, all terrorist are Saddam, all terrorists need Iraq, etc..... If your illustrious leader really wanted a war on terror he would have made it world wide, utilizing all nations and all militaries and all countries. He is full of sh*t to say the Iraq will effect the terrorists of this world and he is full of sh*t to make everyone believe that Iraq will stop the influx of terrorists of this world, he is full of sh*t to make Saddam pay for 9/11, etc...... So if he is full of it, which he is and you buy into it then you are brainwashed. America was brainwashed, not all though, because I spoke out about this same thing years ago. I could see the error of his ways before we attacked Iraq. I do know that others could too. So wallow in his sh*t if you want to I will choose the higher road and work to make my country better than baby shrub has made it. |

Oh and its not called brainwashing. Its called knowing the facts. I actually look things up and form an opinion about something rather than just tell everyone they are brainwashed. You are obviously not looking up all information as I have done or you would not believe the brainwash fed you. You are the one that sounds brainwashed. Apparently I am brainwashed because I think Saddam was a bad person because of all the horrible acts he as committed. I guess all the evidence about his use of mustard gas on his own people, harboring terrorists, and paying the families of suicide bombers are all lies and he was really a swell guy. How did bin laden and Saddam change places after 9/11???? How did saddam who has been what he has been forever suddenly become intolerable to us after 9/11? Our government had utilized him in the past so we were accepting of him then. How does his misdeeds become an issue when bin laden perpetrates the greatest crime on our soil???? How does this happen??? Until you answer those questions and answer them well, you are brainwashed. Sorry |

I've thoroughly stated my position on everything which I feel necessary, and this thread has turned back into a discussion of actual topics, so I'll leave this space for you users to continue your substantitive debate.
Lindyy and nrthn_ynkee, best of luck to both of you in your future endeavors. Try not to use the term "pooper scooper" in too many of your arguments. (It might sound unprofessional to some  ) Edited: to acknowledge that some comments I made were not professional either. For those I am slightly regretful, although I still maintain that the allegations of verbosity left me no choice but to simplify!  )

I still think that someone that is educated such has yourself does not need to swear to make a point.. i actually do read what you say and give it thought .. I still make my own conclusions.. I just wish that you would not swear .. You have a great grasp on the English Language and are passionate about what you feel .. That I respect .. I just don't think you need to use 4 letter words to make your point .. I actaully research a lot of the information that you give in your post to help me make my conclusion of what I think it right .. I am however so happy to see anyone with convictions be they like minded or not .. It is sad that this world has become so jaded that a cuss word is not recognized , I would be eaten some soap if I ever said something like that in front of my grandma , so I use that has my guide to what is "colorful language and what is not ... I have remained nuetral in this debate .. except for that ... Take care and I hope that you do have enough insight to think about it .. You are much too good of a lady to lower your own standards ..and that I feel is a fact ( since you have shared with me some of the wonderful work that you volunteer and do) |
