Topic: I Have a VERY Odd Question | |
---|---|
It could either be for the men or the women. My friend and I were talking about this this morning. And I am not sure of this answer. Hypothetically speaking, if a woman was to donate her ovaries to another female (say you could not have anymore children for some reason or another) just so they could experience the full childbearing experience. That child would still have DNA of the donor right?

Assuming the transplanted ovaries were capable of producing ova, then, yes, they would carry the DNA of the donor.
Found this at: http://www.zgxl.net/eng/health/humanbody/ovary.htm "....the two ovaries together contain approximately 700,000 oocytes at birth. This is the lifetime supply, and no more will develop." It stands to reason that if all the oocytes are present at birth, then the DNA is already pre-set and cannot be altered simply by being moved into another body. |

As far as sciences and medicines go........I have more fun with linguistics.........
It strikes me that if you say DNA 3 times backwards, you'll get: AND, AND, AND.........which sounds a bit like mathematics. I was going somewhere with this but can't...sum it up, prove anything, or reword Aaaaaw Nevermind. |
