I fell off an extention ladder while nailing sheer panel. I had one leg caught on the ladder so when I hit the ground I pulled the ladder down onto my head. It knocked me out cold for a few seconds

that would been a pretty shatty day

i work in fast food..i've done lots of stupid things at work...umm i ran into a peice of the freezer working an overnight, when the guy came to fix it..i didnt see it sitting like a foot off the ground..and BAM..right into my shin...umm i've slipped on the freshly mopped floor, and almost stuck my hand into the hot fry oil...OO the best one..i was working in a kitchen, roasting peppers on the stove using metal tongs, with grips..and i dropped the tongs, so in my blondeness i went to grab them, and grabbed the HOT end. the end that had been in the fire, dropped it, and did it again..i serverly burned my thumb, and three fingers. and the only thing i said was...GROSS theres some of my skin on them tongs...some one get me a new pair..

I almost lost my reproductive faculties.

I work in retail and there are times that you have to carry large items. I was taking care of this customer and he was returning a microwave, all the guys were busy with customers so one of the other ladies passed him on to me because i was one of the only chicks that could easily lift the heavier items. So of course the microwave the customer wanted was upstairs. And these arent regular stairs, these are the stairs that are old and rickdy and have been there since the store has opened in the late 70's so i grab the microwave and get really nervous going down the stairs and it didnt help that i happened to be wearin shoes that have like no grip... needless to say i almost fell down the rickdy stairs carryin that freakin microwave...

Our cow tried to mount me when we were doing a petting zoo at the circus. scratched & bruise my side.

Did you report it? I ruptured a disc in my back in 91, It hurt, burned a little, but i thought it was just a pulled muscle. Within ten days i could barely walk, the disc had bulged so much it compressed the s1 nerve route, i lost my ankle drop, and had to have surgery. I lost the workers comp case, because by company rules, i did not report it within the specified amount of time. If you haven't reported it, you should do that. Also if you have a witness, ask them to go and confirm that you were injured on the job. This little episode cost me about seven thousand dollars above what my medical paid, and was out of work for a year, losing another thirty eight thousand, Not to mention the everyday bills that ultimately destroyed my savings. If i were you, and i'm not...lol...but i would be on the phone right now.

um...sliced open thumb and required tetanus shot; pulled all lower back muscles; fell and damaged the nerve in my elbow; pulled all muscles in lower and middle back, as well as the muscles in my chest and screwing up a disc.

ah...physical therapy...what lovely fun!

I actually got tetanus a couple of years ago

I work with physically & mentally disabled children, a couple 2 or 3 months ago I was talking with a couple other adults when our deaf student, a little boy, walked up behind me and bit me in the butt! Luckily it didn't break the skin.

Not as bad as gitting bit in the butt, but I had a tree fell on me. Poked a hole in my arm.

I tried to catch, with my left arm only, a 65 pound tray of mail as it fell off the roller system at my job. I saved the mail from going all over the place but ripped all the muscles in my neck and and upper arm and tore my rotator cuff. My arm only goes even with my shoulder now even after physical therapy. No more reaching over my head for anything!!



Oh and re-injured it a few years later when my new supervisor didn't believe me....
