Yeah, his addiction problem at the same time he said drug offenders should be put away without a key yet cried himself for treatment. Besides, aren't you right wingers the ones always crying about personal responsibility? If you don't consider the things Rush said about clinton bashing, then what Depeche Mode said was flattery;^]

I disagree. Remember, this is a democracy. The people in it were put there by us because we voted them in. Politics IS a good business as long as we the people elect competent politicians. Don't blame the polititians, blame the people who voted for the politicians. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, not eternal bickering.

In context of this discussion, not in context of what Rush said. This discussion of Rush started with why it was ok to bash clinton while in office but yet in another thread it was sooo wrong for Depeche Mode to bash Bush. I know the statements he made because I heard them from my grandfathers car before he passed in 99. I'm not going through the trouble of sifting through all his idiotic statements just so you can see. Those of us who heard Rushs Clinton rants in the 90's already know;^]

^^....but that's it though...what you consider bashing may not be looked at the same way by myself and others so it's impossible for me to agree or disagree with you...I am still trying to find it but there is so much stuff cause Rush talks so friggen much..lol

Like you said, it's all about context. One day Rush was talking about how fat people are blamed for being fat, but society doesn't do the same to drug addicts. His point is that there is no fairness in that judgement. Fat people are often addicted to food. Or it's genetic. But to claim that a drug addict is a victim because of genetics, but judging a fat person for being fat isn't right.

When taken in context, Rush Limbaugh makes some very valid points. Take it out of context and you give his detractors something to accuse him of.
