Okay, so i'm on the net, trying to date women. Is this the right way to
go? Because I can't seem to meet anyone. I've changed my profile
description several times but I don't think I am the kind of person who
gets the women. I have diabetes, a heart condition, bad kidneys, don't
have a job, probably never will... I get disability for the diabetes.
Is this a turn off with women? And why do they avoid me?

damn bro sounds like you should donate your body to science when you're
done with it as far as meeting people off here for actual dates hahaha
I have met a few and they were total freaks so I am not hoping to if it
happens then so be it

Chances of finding your "true love" online is slim but not
impossible...I have had great luck meeting people online...

You have to be careful w/ your ailments...make sure you aren't using
them as a crutch, b/c that is what would be a turnoff for women...

I have faith that there is someone out there for everyone, so just keep
your chin up...

And let me just close with this: "instead of trying to spend your time
looking for mrs. right, spend your time trying to be mr. right."

The truth is, I've had diabetes for 33 years. Because of that, I have
the rest of my problems now. I don't use it as a crutch, infact I
beleive that honesty is best. By telling people that I have these
things, they won't be surprised later on. And as for you, MikeM68, I do
not believe that you understand the full meaning of what it is to have
these ailments. I think you responded just to have something negative
to say about it.

Yes, but it shouldnt be the first thing you say.

You need to know something about women...and I'm warning everyone, I'm
about to generalize, so don't take offense if you don't see yourself
fitting into this category...A lot of women, especially one's with trust
issues, will think that your motive for telling them right away is to
get pity points...not that you are just trying to be open and
honest...try easing into that information...if you get her to like you
before knowing that, and she sticks by you after you tell her, then
you'll know that this is the real deal...

When you find the right one, she won't care if you're brain-dead. She'll
still love you.

So what you're saying is that I don't say anything about it till she
likes me? The what do I do about the rest of it? The SSI check, the no
job? Most women want a man with security and money. That's what I have
seen anyway.

sounds like your using them as a crutch to me?

Can I make a suggestion? There are a lot of jobs that you can do from
home, you know...And since you are well enough to go on the computer,
you could easily do that...and then you'd have money and security, and
it wouldnt matter....

Just be yourself and don't give off too much too soon however honesty is
the best policy but take it step by step sooner or later you will find
someone on here or else where will accept you the way you are:)

There is no medical cure for juvinile diabetes... Trust me, I would
know, and I would be one of the first people to be in line for the cure.

Your concentrating on the illness not the man that has them....
If you can live with them, it won't matter to anyone. As for the
disablility checks....it's you way of sustaining your life...for a true
love it should not matter....
Just be yourself, enjoy life and who ever decides to join you in it.
Life's too short to think about the shortcomings (your illnesses).
Yes, it is nice to let the other person know of them, before any long
term commitment, but if there is a strong bond - it won't matter!
So just be yourself and enjoy.
