but really there is a cure for diabetes if it's due to the pancreas not producing insulin or enough insulin as for diabetes that is caused by the cells not using insulin properly this would not work, I don't know why they don't try this more often but you can do a pancreas transplant have seen it done because of pacreatic cancer and the result cured the guy of diabetes

A pancreatic transplant is very dificult. The pancreas is one of the most delicate organs in the body. One wrong move and the pacreas is history. But if there is a chance, how do I go about getting one?

when the first thing you come out with is i'm sick and i don't work but will you love me anyway. thats a crutch. cause when you look at it if you say no you feel like crap cause your picking on the poor crippled kid. try naming some valid points about yourself. let someone see the real you then tell them your problems and go from there. you say you want to be upfront no you identify yourself with your illness that is what you are. you feel w/out that your nothing. just my opinion could be wrong but you gotta go a long way to prove it

Mike, I can't believe you said that diabetes can be cured. It can be controllled, just like most chronic ailments. Shoot, I bet if all of us sat here and made a list of everything we've got, well, it would be quite depressing. 100 years ago the life expectency in the US was about 45-50. Look at us now, with the advances in modern medicine, you'll never get rid of us Baby Boomers. HAHA
