The advantage of online dating has always been to look with a certain amount of privacy and if you find someone that piques your interest you contact them. It's like walking around on South Beach... you people watch but you don't go try to approach someone that you aren't attracted to initially. Let's be honest, if you wanted to be judged solely on your personality, intellect and all other assets other than physical you wouldn't have a picture up. That is the whole point of a picture... to attract on the first level so you can move on to the others. So why send a message to everyone you happen to 'see' if you aren't attracted to them... We are supposedly here because the traditional method is too time consuming and there are a lack of quality people in the typical bar or nightclub. Why be harsh on those that just want to look around and not waste their or someone else's time? If you are looking for friends and want to send someone a message on that note then so be it but we aren't all here just looking for friends... Haha yeah that's what I was hinting towards, except I'm too lazy to type it all out. Very well said.  And hmmmm how many people have I matched that would not of given that person the time of day........lots |

If all the guys that peek....could have the huevos to at least say hi......And I am sure this works both ways.... So just do it people..........Whenever I peek.....I usually write and just say hi.....Isn't that the name of the site after all....The only time I don't say hi is when I am recruiting for Matchmaking Game. Deb, I actually used to send out a few e-mails after reading a profile -- talk about a waste of time! -- pffffffffffffftttt -- Maybe someday if they ever remove the 897,000 mile force field, I would try it again but I don't know....and people look at my profile, and about 1 out of 20 ever says anything! I figure this just isn't "my" place to meet anybody.... |
