If all the guys that peek....could have the huevos to at least say hi......And I am sure this works both ways.... So just do it people..........Whenever I peek.....I usually write and just say hi.....Isn't that the name of the site after all....The only time I don't say hi is when I am recruiting for Matchmaking Game. it's not a matter of huevos, it's a matter of not thinking you're interested anymore. why email someone if i think i'm no longer interested in talking with them. what should i write? "hey, sorry i looked at your profile. false alarm" ? |

I say hi if I have viewed them a few times. Sometimes tho I don't want to send them the wrong impression and have them think I am interested. Sometimes I just like to see where they are coming from so I look. But if I view them a few times I do message and I expect the same courtesy. I don't want to be accused of being a stalker and I don't like stalkers either.

And oh what it would kill you to talk to someone that your not first off immediately attracted to.....I have had people in my Matchmaking thread say the same thing....and how stupid they feel now...because those same people they wouldn't give the time of day to on their own...are now some of their best friends.....hmmmmm go figure. |

The advantage of online dating has always been to look with a certain amount of privacy and if you find someone that piques your interest you contact them. It's like walking around on South Beach... you people watch but you don't go try to approach someone that you aren't attracted to initially. Let's be honest, if you wanted to be judged solely on your personality, intellect and all other assets other than physical you wouldn't have a picture up. That is the whole point of a picture... to attract on the first level so you can move on to the others. So why send a message to everyone you happen to 'see' if you aren't attracted to them... We are supposedly here because the traditional method is too time consuming and there are a lack of quality people in the typical bar or nightclub. Why be harsh on those that just want to look around and not waste their or someone else's time? If you are looking for friends and want to send someone a message on that note then so be it but we aren't all here just looking for friends...

Well thats a good point....but something drew you there in the first place........and honestly writing an e-mail and saying hi is not asking for marriage.....gezzzzzzzz Probably either a monkey pic or some enticing picture of a set of lips Well again the honesty is a good thing....But let me just say this...Since I started this thread...two people have e-mailed and two friends I have now.......so see it's not such a bad gig..... |
