In my lifes journey
i've seen both good and bad
and sometimes I feel
so very sad

My enemies have come
they've cut me to my soul
and it's my destruction
that's their final goal

Why must I fight
please let me breath
why is it everyone
you wish to decieve

My wounds they do bleed
from your deception and lies
if you were to look closely
you'd see the pain in my eyes

I am a tortured soul
your attack has cut deep
you lead me to the slaughter
just like a sheep

Haven't you done enough
will I ever know peace
when I lay down
will I be able to sleep

I am only human
I have made my mistakes
Sometimes I want to pray the Lord
my soul to take

Is life really worth living
when you face all this alone
I am out numbered
I am on my own

In times of trouble
you reach out to friends
just to find out
their not there in the end

They turn their backs
and they watch you hurt
they make you feel like
you have no worth

When I was your friend
I stood by your side
I fought your enemies
with honor and pride

I cleaned your wounds
and I dried your tears
I helped you put away
all of your fears

Now in my time of trouble
when I needed all of you the most
you handed me over
for my enemies to roast

I am all alone
in this fight for my life
I don't know if this time
I will survive

Not alone my friend,, Angels of light walk with you,, guide you and lift you up when all else fails,,, Life is an obstacle with lots of bumps and set backs,, I can tell you from my own experience that it will get better with time,, Believe in your soul and when you feel you cant move forward,, Give out a big oleeeeeeeeeeeee scream,,, we'll all come running

Even though I havent known you for long,I still felt you deep in my soul.For I feel that way each and every day..But I look to god to help me keep my soul..So whenever in need of a friend please feel free to look for me and we will unite as one to over come that deep down ugly soul and push it away and bring back the pure and clean soul and get through the bad times...Nice poem I really can relate to it...
