I tell ya, it was hard to tell my ex the truth when breaking up. Especially if I had already told my parents at the time. I wanted to dress it up so I didn't feel embarrassed as well as he. But, there had to be a reason.

Just tell them the truth.. That whats most important. Dont do it to be cruel and make the break up hurt worse, but you have to be honest and sometimes the truth hurts..

Yes, she deserves to hear the truth from you, but do not pick the week of valentine's day. It the day of love and romance. Wait until the day has pass. The last thing she needs is to be reminded of all the happy couples when her heart is breaking.
