Like, just to see how they will react? I don't know, make a call to someone and say something offhanded but complimentary about them when they can hear? Start eating off their plate before being asked... or what have you done and what was the result? Maybe you were trying to ruin the date or just testing the boundaries.

I've never done any of those kinds of shenanigans, but I DID have a date go on some strange tangents.

She kept asking me what I thought of children and babies, and if I were planning to have any one day. I'd give her my answer ("not in the near future" or "when I find that someone special"), and she'd start up with the baby questions again. I'd repeat my answers to let her know that I wasn't in the market for kids at present, and she'd back off. And THEN she'd start right back up again with the baby questions.

Needless to say, that date ended REAL quick.

I was at a restaraunt and got on my knees and begged the waitress for menus....my date nearly flipped out..and so did the waitress..
