No, it's definitely a fear of sharks. I froze up in the ocean because I saw the shadow of the waves on the ocean floor, that was fun. And while walking through Barnes and Noble I came face to face with a 3-D book on great whites. I froze and just stared at it until my g/f, thankfully, stood in front of me to block the view.
Strangely I'm always fascinated by shark week. And almost passed out watching that movie....Deep Water? I would've had a heart attack on the spot. |

So I have this irrational fear of sharks. And I know under normal circumstances that it's not irrational, but I think they're going to get me in lakes and rivers and swimming pools! Don't know why. But get me in a body of water by myself and once I close my eyes I have visions of Jaws coming straight at me. So, please, other people have irrational fears like this too, right? If you do, I'd love to hear them. I like to know I'm not the only freak all the time. |

i'm totally afraid of heights. i end up getting vertigo and i start shaking. in fact, i'm so afraid of high places, i don't even need to be up high to get freaked out- i could be watching tv or a movie and -if they have an overhead view of a mountain or town- i'll freak. yeah, i guess. i remember this one time when i was in chicago visiting family and my uncle bugged me into seeing the Sears Tower with him. everything was fine until we got to the top floor, which is totally surrounded by windows. i couldn't even leave the elevator it was so scary. |

mine might sound odd.....and its probably one that no one has ever heard of before...
i have a strange fear of animal sounds that i cant see..it started when i was hitchicking across canads when i was 17 i was entering revolstoke b.c...just a stones throw from the b.c boarder.. and it was night time... and from the forrest next to me i heard the most god-awful noise..and when i started to run from it..it seemed to follow..i never seen what made that sound..but i was lucky that a passing motorist stopped for me... ever since then i always wanted to know what made that sound... but since then..if i hear the noise of any animal..and i dont see where its comming from...i get the shakes.. |

I went up the CN tower once, at the top the floor is glass so you can see down. I had a very bad panic attack.. Never again. Haha. |

I think of Bull Sharks when I swim in lakes and I have dreams quite a bit involving Sharks. I know enough about them to know that if you're aware in the water and recklessly jack assing around you'll be pretty safe. |
